As summer starts to wind down and kids head back to school, conferences and conventions are beginning to pick back up. The AGA has compiled a list of conferences and tradeshows you may want to attend this fall. You might also catch some AGA staff or galvanizers at a few of these events. Attending sessions and workshops at conferences serve as an informative way to learn about the most innovative solutions, tools, industry trends, and insight, as well as the opportunity to network with other industry professionals.

September

RE+

  • Sep. 9-12 in Anaheim, CA
  • Originally developed by the nation’s leading solar energy organizations to engage the business community, RE+ reflects an ongoing entrepreneurial approach to renew best practices across the clean energy landscape as the marketplace evolves. RE+ is powered by Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), the two leading non-profits that provide a voice for the solar industry. The event brings together an extensive alliance of clean energy leaders and professionals from all cross-sections of the solar industry for four days of innovation and collaboration. Today, the multi-day event boasts 27,000+ professionals from all segments of the industry, over 800 exhibitors, and 100 countries. Marketing Director John Krzywicki will be in attending. Short Span Steel Bridge Alliance

  • Sep. 23-24 in Charlotte. NC
  • The Short Span Steel Bridge Alliance (SSSBA) is a group of bridge and buried soil steel structure industry leaders who have joined together to provide educational information on the design and construction of short-span steel bridges in installations up to 140 feet in length. The SSSBA members meet in-person twice per year to discuss research, technical, and educational activities. Marketing Director John Krzywicki will be attending.

AISI Bridge Task Force

  • Sep. 25-26 in Charlotte. NC
  • AISI coordinates the formation and activities of three research committees dedicated to identifying current and future design challenges, developing new technologies, and advancing best practices for steel bridges. The Steel Bridge Task Force, Corrosion Advisory Group, and Welding Advisory Group have made significant contributions over the years to advance steel bridge design and construction. Technical Director Alana Fossa will be attending.

AASHTO Steel & Metals Committee

  • Sep. 26-27 in Charlotte. NC

ASCE 2024 Convention

  • Oct. 6-9 in Tampa, FL
  • ASCE 2024 Convention will feature a variety of meaningful programming experiences whether you are a first-time attendee or a veteran convention goer: the annual ASCE members meeting, keynote presentations, invited panels, case histories, and research papers. Civil engineering professionals will learn the latest information, innovations, and technologies available in the field. ACEC Fall Conference

  • Oct. 20-23 in New Orleans, LA
  • The ACEC Fall Conference is the engineering and design services industry's leading event focused on the business of engineering. 900+ engineering professionals attend educational sessions, major networking events, forums, roundtables, and ACEC/PAC fundraising events. AGA members can benefit by networking with representatives from engineering firms from around the country.

AASHTO/NSBA Collaboration Meetings

  • Oct. 22-24 in New Orleans, LA
  • The AASHTO/NSBA Steel Bridge Collaboration is a joint effort between the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA) with representatives from state departments of transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, academia, and various industry groups related to steel bridge design, fabrication, and inspection. The mission of the Collaboration is to provide a forum where professionals can work together to improve and achieve the quality and value of steel bridges through standardization of design, fabrication, and erection.

Chicago Build 2024 Expo

  • Oct. 22-23 in Chicago, IL
  • Chicago Build is the leading construction, design and real estate show for the Midwest and is officially supported by the Mayor of Chicago & Governor of Illinois. METALCON

  • Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Atlanta, GA

2024 International Zinc Recycling Conference & Zinc Metal Roundtable
