Rembering Dr. Tom Langill: A Pillar of Our Industry, Cherished Part of the AGA Family
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Dr. Tom Langill, our longtime AGA Technical Director, colleague, and friend. Tom was woven into the fabric of our association and industry, and his loss is deeply felt throughout our AGA family.
As Technical Director from 1994-2022, Tom shared his knowledge generously – answering countless questions, mentoring technical staff, and helping members and specifiers better understand hot-dip galvanizing. His legacy lives on in the people he guided, the educational programs he helped build, and the industry he dedicated so much of his life to advancing. In 2022, Tom received the Thomas M. Gregory Memorial Award, AGA’s highest honor – a fitting recognition of his extraordinary contributions and enduring commitment to our galvanizing community.
Even as we grieve, we celebrate all Tom gave to our AGA family and the industry he helped shape. As much as he loved the industry, he loved the people in our industry even more. We will miss him dearly and remember him with deep gratitude and affection.
Our hearts are with his wife, Pam, and the entire Langill family. We extend our deepest sympathy and hold them close in our thoughts.
