The American Galvanizers Association continues to expand its educational and outreach efforts across Latin America this fall, with a focus on Spanish-language training, industry events, education, and new technical resources.
Spanish-Language Education
AGA’s Spanish-language programming continues with the Spanish version of the new Galvanize It! Hot-Dip Galvanized Bridges seminar, given August 4. A Spanish-language Master Galvanizer course is also tentatively planned for September 21–25 in Pennsylvania, depending on registration. Additional Spanish-language MasterGalv opportunities in North Carolina and Pennsylvania are also being evaluated based on participation.
CONEIC Argentina | October 12–15
AGA will participate in CONEIC in Argentina, with a focus on hot-dip galvanized reinforcing steel. The program will also include presentations for customers covering design considerations and relevant standards.
AMPP IMCORRS | October 18–20 | Monterrey, Mexico
AGA will participate in AMPP IMCORRS in Monterrey, Mexico, in partnership with the International Zinc Association (IZA). John Krzywicki, AGA Marketing Director, will represent AGA at the event.
LatinGalva | November 23–26 | Curitiba, Brazil
AGA will support IZA at LatinGalva in Curitiba, Brazil, November 23–26. The event will provide another opportunity to connect with galvanizing professionals and promote the benefits and applications of hot-dip galvanizing throughout Latin America.
Spanish-Language Resources
From August through November, AGA is working on Spanish translations of three new white papers, expanding access to technical information for Spanish-speaking audiences. Additional translations are also underway, including resources covering EHS, pickle bath management, kettle failure mitigation, and masking.
