Galvanize It! Online Seminar

Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel for Parking Structures

NREL parking garage

The Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel for Parking Structures online seminar is a specialized offshoot of the Galvanize It! seminar series developed by the American Galvanizers Association from the in-person seminar presented across North America. The course provides an overview of the social, economic, and environmental benefits of incorporating hot-dip galvanized steel in parking structures.

The American Galvanizers Association (AGA) is a non-profit trade association dedicated to serving the needs of after-fabrication hot-dip galvanizers, fabricators, architects, engineers, and other specifiers. The AGA provides technical support on today's innovative applications and state-of-the-art technological developments in hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion control.

Continuing Education Credit

The AGA is a registered provider with the following agencies. Credit earned upon completion of the course and passing the test (requires 80% or better) will be reported only at your request (by providing your AIA/ACEC number). This on-demand course is available for 1 hour of HSW credit.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand how galvanized steel benefits structural appearance, safety, speed of construction, use of resources, planning for the future, and corrosion protection
  • Identify savings during construction, in use, and over the entire life of a galvanized steel garage
  • Discern hot-dip galvanizing is a sustainable solution for corrosion protection, from cradle-to-cradle.
