Aspinwall Water Treatment Plant

All the stairs and walkways at this coal fired plant are galvanized. As Mill Creek Station is directly on the river, galvanizing provides superior corrosion resitance for the steel, which is even covered by water at times. Also, there is not costly maintenance to contend with, as with paint systems. In fact, life to first maintenance could be well over 40 years.
