Reliant Stadium

Stage Right is a manufacturer of portable platforms of all different designs and sizes. Everything from a Hollywood set to a High School Choir are their customers. They needed a portable, permanent platform plate material that would be durable for Toe-Motors and/or their "Removable Field" that can be re-tracked to the outside when not in use for Football.

This is a very good OEM product and a great source for galvanizing durability in everyday use that no one would realize unless shown.

These stay inside but are stored outdoors when not in use. Hot-dip galvanizing was perfect. They were shown where rivals the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants used galvanizing in their stadiums. The Cardinals in Arizona with their new re-tractable field also used these platforms. This is a very good OEM product and a great source for galvanizing durability in everyday use that no one would realize unless shown.

The newly constructed 72,000 seat Reliant Stadium dwarfs the once large Astrodome in Houston, TX. Constructed as the new home for the Houston Texans NFL team, the stadium will host more than 200 events each year including the Houston Rodeo and concerts, and even the 2004 Super Bowl. Hot-dip galvanized (HDG) handrails, stairs, and walkways will direct each visitor to the stadium safely to their seats. Houston is a very hot, humid industrial atmosphere requiring stout corrosion protection throughout the city. In order to protect their millions of dollars investment, the Houston Country Sports and Convention Corp. wanted a low maintenance facility built with economic and efficient materials. The quick turnaround time, lower initial and life-cycle cost, as well as proven performance of HDG steel in Houston ultimately led to the specification of hot-dip galvanizing for the state-of-the-art stadium.
