CloseHDG was chosen due to its superior corrosion protection. Galvanizing is extremely easy to specify because it is a one-coat system with a minimum coating thickness. The initial cost of galvanizing was less expensive than some coating processes, and over the life of the structure it was considerably less expensive due to its low or no maintenance projections. HDG provides complete coverage to the entire structure including recesses, corners and other hard to access areas. It is the only coating process that can effectively coat all areas both inside and out.
