Recognizing the importance of vocational agricultural education for the children of the mostly metropolitan Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District in Texas, the board of education approved, funded and constructed a state-of-the-art facility to house and care for animals.
40 tons of hot-dip galvanized steel was chosen to protect the gates, stalls, connector pins/clips, railing, wash racks and grating from corrosion in this very acidic environment.
With low maintenance and durability as the two primary drivers on the project, 40 tons of hot-dip galvanized steel was chosen to protect the gates, stalls, connector pins/clips, railing, wash racks and grating from corrosion in this very acidic environment. Besides learning to raise and care for animals, an important element of the education is farm and facility management. Hot-dip galvanizing and the long life and low maintenance it delivers is a fundamental part of that educational experience.
