Heydon Hall Gate

Heydon Hall is an exclusive gated residential community near Charlotte NC. The owners, residents and developers wanted an entrance gate that reflected the quality and beauty of the community. An intricately detailed ornamental gate was designed. Hot-dip galvanizing was chosen for its long-lasting corrosion protection and ease of specification. The fabricator had past experience with hot-dip galvanizing and knew it was the best corrosion protection available.

There were concerns that the fragile leaf and vine design would be damaged by the galvanizing process. The galvanizer assured them that with proper handling a good outcome could be achieved. A custom top coat of paint was specified to provide the color in keeping with the design. The project went off without a hitch proving to all involved that hot-dip galvanizing is the most versatile corrosion protection system for even the most delicate items. Future maintenance has been minimized by the use of a duplex coating of hot dip galvanizing and finish paint.
