Yesco has been responsible for building signs all over the world. Yesco became a true leader in the sign industry when they installed the first neon sign. Yesco was called upon to design durable advertisement billboards for the Philadelphia Fashion District. These signs were designed to advertise popular brands that are in and around the mall area. The Philadelphia fashion district spans three city blocks in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. It is a metropolitan shopping area that combines style, dining, entertainment and the arts.
The owner wanted the advertisement billboards to be durable and withstand the outside elements for years without replacing the structures in the future.
The owner wanted the advertisement billboards to be durable and withstand the outside elements for years without replacing the structures in the future. That’s why they choose steel frames to be hot dipped galvanized. With the billboards being the last part of the construction project, hot dip galvanizing gave the owner, general contractor, and the fabricator flexibility to install these structures in a timely manner before the mall would be officially opened.
