Hot-dip galvanizing after fabrication was chosen to allow the vines to flourish and live a long, fragrant life. By specifying hot-dip galvanizing over other corrosion protection systems, such as paint, the vines will not have to be removed to perform the required maintenance. Also, the complete coverage of hot-dip galvanizing protects areas highly vulnerable to rust such as corners and edges.
