The 123 Parking Structure is located in urban Oklahoma City, near the Automobile Alley Historic District, where dining and shopping selections abound. The 123 Parking Structure is a concrete parking facility encased by a steel façade of louver panels positioned at various gradations. The architecturally exposed, progressive dip, louver frames were designed to accommodate the aesthetic specifications while incorporating the venting and draining provisions required for galvanizing. Once the louver frames were galvanized, poly-carbonate and colored cement board panels were installed into the frames. Galvanizing was specified for the architectural façade as a result of the long term corrosion protection and durability provided by hot-dip galvanized coatings. The success of this project was a result of the excellent communication in the early stages of the project between the designer, fabricator and galvanizer.

This unique architecture is a community investment which will be safeguarded from the elements and enjoyed by residents and visitors to Oklahoma City for many years, as a result of the irreplaceable corrosion protection afforded by hot-dip galvanizing.
