The Valkyrie Sculpture is a 1200 pound piece of art displayed at art galleries and museums all over the United States. Because this steel beauty is continuously moved throughout the year, the artist made the decision to hot-dip galvanize it to protect it from any incurred bangs and scratches due to travel. The artist had previous experience galvanizing other projects, and was very pleased with the turn out of this one especially.
This sculpture was not just another piece of steel, but rather someones life work.
Although artwork is sometimes taken for granted, the galvanizer of this project had to adopt the artists mentality that this sculpture was not just another piece of steel, but rather someones life work. Because of the durable, protective coating provided by HDG, this steel sculpture will travel safely and stand gloriously for years to come.
