Shining strongly, the Archimedes of Syracuse sculpture is displayed in Omaha. The artist, Ron Parks, wanted to pay homage to the creator of the lever with this sculpture and also wanted to display his work of art outside without having to worry about the maintenance that comes with painting steel.
Display his work of art outside without having to worry about the maintenance...
Parks desired an aesthetically pleasing finish on the carbon steel that represented Roman armor and was very satisfied with his previously galvanized artwork. Galvanizing Archimedes of Syracuse was a clear choice for Parks. This galvanized steel sculpture will continue to stand strong as a symbol of Archimedes for many years to come.
