Sitting in a contemplative pose, Goliath shines brightly in Albany, New York. Jack Howard Potter has galvanized many times before and continues to be extremely pleased with the results. His previous popular work, The Muse, was also hot-dip galvanized (HDG). Goliath consists of many parts with very small diameters. For this reason, the sculpture was handled with extreme care during the HDG process. This work was very susceptible to the accumulation of rust due to the numerous narrow parts.
It was essential to receive the best coating protection available.
In the industrial environment of New York, it was essential to receive the best coating protection available. Goliath stands as evidence of galvanizing sculptures advantages. More and more artists are using HDG so they too can experience the beauty and sustainability of their most cherished artistic accomplishments.
