Though the leaders of this project have been galvanizing trailer rear door frames for ten years, they had been looking to promote galvanizing full trailers. Galvanizing was chosen for this project because it looks cleaner than paint, especially when paint begins to flake and rust comes through. It was also chosen because it would hold up longer than paint. The 53-foot flat bed, the container chassis, and bulk hauler were all galvanized. These trailers will bring a lot of exposure to the growing trucking industry market, as they will be driven down major highways across the country.
