In the city of Westchester, NY stands an evocative, sculptural gate commemorating the events of September 11, 2001. Because the gate is the front entrance to a structure that is very visible to the public, the piece needed to have a finish that was aesthetically pleasing and would protect the hard work of the designers. Hot-dip galvanized steel was the perfect solution, as it provides a uniform coating that is visually appealing to any viewer.

HDG was also utilized in order to ensure the gate remains rust-free and maintains a top-notch, smooth quality. The durability of HDG steel will also protect the entrance against the everyday wear and tear incurred on most commercial pieces. Although the size of the project made for a challenging galvanizing process, the end result is a well-protected, meaningful symbol that will send a message of gratitude for generations.
