Missouri DOT I-70 North Bridge Enhancements

Driven by the community of St. Louis' desire for both an aesthetic and durable design, the Missouri Department of Transportation selected a duplex system custom fence panel for 10 bridges in this urban area.

Painting over the zinc coating delivered the solution for an appearance consistent with the surrounding community.

With exposure to a wide temperature range, high humidity, and road salts, only hot-dip galvanized steel tube, angle and mesh would provide the long-term, maintenance-free performance required. Painting over the zinc coating delivered the solution for an appearance consistent with the surrounding community. Additionally, the customized turnaround provided by the galvanizer gave the contractor the confidence he needed to bid and deliver the project on-schedule.
