In order to emphasize the high quality of their truck bodies, Kilar produced an all galvanized underbody. Usually, 25% of the underbody parts are galvanized, including L arms wheel holders winch brackets toolbox brackets cross control rods and 5th wheel subframes. The manufacturer recently built a trade show truck with all galvanized steel parts. This was used to emphasize the quality that they build into their products. This is an ongoing cooperative project.

Several parts, including the L arms, wheel holders, winch brackets, tool box brackets, cross control rods, and more were hot-dip galvanized for the Kilar Truck Beds. After the owner was educated on the durability benefits of galvanized steel, he began incorporating it into all of his new beds.  Galvanized steel will protect these beds from the inevitable rough wear and tear of life on the road. The tough barrier protection will stand strong against nick and scratches from flying road debris and loading and offloading of cargo, and the intrinsic cathodic protection will protect the beds from any spreading corrosion. Galvanized steel will keep these beds moving along, rust-free, for decades to come.
