After fabrication, Champion sends their heavy duty sub-frames to be hot-dip galvanized to finish the product, giving it a quality, long-lasting corrosion protection system that will hold up to the elements. Thus far, Champion has sent 5400 tons of steel to be galvanized, including materials such as frames, booms, hoods, bars, brackets, angles, cross members and arms. The result is a neat and custom appearance from the rear of the trucks, a view that often serves as an advertisement for the car carrier industry.
