Standing high on the horizon, the Cambridge Ethanol Project evokes pride in the rural community surrounding it. This plant, which specializes in alternative fuel sources operates in two phases: one producing 88 million gallons of ethanol per year, and the other producing 150,000 tons of by-products.
In the extreme hot and cold temperatures the plant operates in, hot-dip galvanizing was chosen for its durable, long-lasting corrosion protection and its aesthetically pleasing look. A long time believer in the quality of HDG, the fabricator had 466 tons of steel galvanized, including walkways, ladders, platforms, handrails, piperacks, and structural steel. With the quick turnaround time keeping the project on schedule, HDG proved to be the right choice for corrosion protection for generations to come.
