One of the longest curved, span bridges in the United States, measuring 237 ft. (72 m) in length and only 16 ft. (5 m) above the canal running underneath. Officials wished to avoid bridge piers so that there would be no disturbance to recreational users of the canal below. Because of this requirement, 80' (24 m) plate girders were necessary.

Not only does it allow the residents of Stark County a safe place to walk, bike, and canoe, they will not have to deal with inconvenient maintenance necessary on bridges that do not utilize hot-dip galvanizing.
