Hot-dip galvanizing was selected for this project because it was the most visually effective and comprehensive finish available to the architectural design firm overseeing this project. The appearance of the galvanized coating suits the industrial environment that the sculpture is located in.

The sculpture is located on the edge of the industrial district and former NW rail yards. The sculptures design is about the creative world that sprouted from the hand and heart of a worker in the local NW rail yards.
