When hurricane Sandy hit the eastern seaboard of the U.S. in 2012 it caused an estimated 65 Billion in damage, not to mention the countless lives lost in this historic storm.
One of the damaged areas was the Perth Amboy Marina in New Jersey. Working with local governtment officials, J.S. Welding Company was entrusted with reconstructing the railing at the marina. Looking for the most durable coating as well as a coating that could provide the best possible life cycle cost to the marina and the city was critical. Hot Dip Galvanizing was chosen to as the best possible solution for this issue. Also working with the galvanizer it was a quicker solution to paint which helped J.S. Welding meet the tight schedule of the project.
