The park is situated beside the busy Lougheed Highway and a stone's throw from the Fraser River. The City of Pitt Meadows wanted a maintenance-free coating due to the park's close proximity to the 6 lane highway to the north and the working Fraser River directly to the south. The park itself has natural ponds and a creek that run directly through it.
