Gates Corporation Material Carts

Gates Corporation uses these carts to transfer and store material in their plant and outside in their storage yard where they are exposed to heat, extreme cold, rain and snow. Gates wanted the best corrosion protection so galvanizing was recommended. The galvanizing price was half of the price of painting, so the decision was made to galvanize. The specification was easy to write and the final quality was rated as exceptional. A few minor design changes were recommended and completed. The 2-3 day turn time as an added bonus. The cart will protect the Gates Corporations material for years to come. The success of this project will encourage additional use of hot dip galvanizing on material handling items and other plant maintenance items.
