This unique product is made of continuous tubes without any ventilation. A pipe snorkel and a unique lifting/dipping fixture is used to press the evaporator coil into the zinc bath. Without the special lifting/dipping fixture from the galvanizer, the product would not be able to be hot-dip galvanized. The coils would float in the zinc bath or possibly explode. The coils can weigh in over 10,000 lbs. a unit making them a very complex product to run. These units have water running over them actively. This inherently creating a highly corrosive environment. The longevity and durability of the coils is very important and a key reason to why EVAPCO hot-dip galvanizes many of their coils. EVAPCO knows with a galvanized coil they can offer a longer life expectancy before replacement. EVAPCO's hot-dip galvanized line of coils attribute to roughly 2,500 tons of material annually, creating a large impact on the HDG industry. Without these coils basic cooling and refrigeration wouldn't be possible. The next time you crank up the hotel AC, or enjoy cold food products, you probably have EVAPCO to thank.
