On the face of it, Dragon may appear simple, both in weight and steel galvanized. However, the attention to detail and the use of color via the duplex system makes it a very significant sculpture. Dragon was entirely galvanized. The total immersion process meant that every part of the Dragon would be fully protected.
The artist is familiar with using powder coating over hot-dip galvanized steel; he's able to get desired variations and shadowing that only a true professional can master. Because of this duplex system, Dragon will last for decades, even in Toronto's changing seasonal climate and humidity.
