As the industry leader in photographing car dealership's vehicles, the fabricator had state of the art lighting, cameras and photo booth. But underneath was a rusting support structure. To avoid corrosion issues, they chose hot dip galvanizing.
"We have the best vehicle turntable photograph technology, we needed to have the best corrosion protection underneath." - Nem Skadarka
The vast majority of car dealership's business is online. To have high quality, efficient photographs is critical to their operations. The photographing of the vehicles can not be interrupted. To avoid any down time with photo booth, hot dip galvanizing was chosen for long lasting durability. The galvanizing could also accommodate any epoxy color the dealership would choose. Plenty of research, engineering and thought went into the equipment for the booth yet the turntable substructure was not a focus until it rusted out and affected the operation. Now all the steel is hot dip galvanized as part of a smart decision for versatility with epoxy coatings colors, durability, and making the vehicle photo process efficient. With what seems like a car dealership on every corner and many of them their own photo booth, likely to have more vehicle turntables with hot dip galvanizing.
