Each pedestal leg was meticulously hot-dip galvanized in molten zinc to produce the highest quality finish possible for an artistic presentation to customers and visitors alike.
A specific hanging apparatus was used to hang each piece so as they were dipped and then removed from the kettle, the zinc was allowed to flow smoothly from all surfaces ensuring a vertical application thus avoiding diagonal flow marks.
As the table support legs emerged from the 835° zinc, the galvanizing team carefully preserved the shiny, reflective just-galvanized finish until they could be securely wrapped and transported to Applied Coatings Technology for a clear coating that sealed and protected the just-galvanized look.
