Over 430 tons of galvanized structural trusses were used to build the hangar used to house Boeing 777 jets during their maintenance. The 34 ft. x 8 ft. (10.5m x 2.5m), 2500 lb. trusses were progressively dipped. Galvanizing was selected because of its ease of applicability and its ability to withstand rough transport and construction handling.
