In the corrosive elements of Oregon, the new Tualatin Library stands beautiful and durable. This library is a wealth of knowledge for the community, and it was built by a knowledgeable team with 32 years of experience in hot-dip galvanizing (HDG).
HDG will provide functionality and longevity.
The previous overpass railing was in great need of revitalization. It consisted of unattractive, rusting chain-link fence. When planning the project, the 5% cost increase of duplexing hot-dip galvanized (HDG) handrail was more than worth the difference. HDG will provide functionality and longevity. These beneficial attributes are the result of the railings duplex system which provides both cathodic and barrier protection. The zinc sacrifices itself to leave the base steel unharmed. The black powder coating on the I-75 overpass railing provides extra barrier protection. The powder coating also provides the much talked about finish of the overpass. The duplexed railings will keep people and objects on the overpass and corrosion out for decades.
