The City of Tacoma, Washington spruced up its waterways by using 25.5 tons of durable and attractive hot-dip galvanized structural footwalks. Specifically, Tacoma selected Ohio Gratings, Inc. unique design of light and heavy duty steel bar grating, called "wheels 'n heels" to cover the waterfront area of the marina. ADA compliant and rated for heavy truck traffic, the hot-dip galvanized grating will withstand the harsh marine environment for the wide pH range of 5 - 12, delivering substantial cost savings initially and zero maintenance costs over the life of the project.
