Houston has long been known as the medical capitol of the United States. It is an honor that we were able to be a part of the growth of that reputation. The project is the newly built Texas Children's Hospital in The Woodlands TX.
There were many reasons the end user agreed to use HDG. The primary reason was longevity.
The portion of the project we were tasked with is the main entrance of the building. Our fabricator has constructed unique "tree" style supports for the covered entrance/drop off area. HDG was specified for a few reasons. The fabricator has been a long time customer of ours and has done a phenomenal job promoting HDG for years. There were many reasons the end user agreed to use HDG. The primary reason was longevity.
This building will see tens of thousands of guest for years to come. Texas Children's wanted an artistic and appealing entrance to greet its guest that would stand the test of time. Although not in a traditional corrosive environment, the Houston area does have a very unique and unpredictable weather system.
With it being very wet, humid and warm nearly year round, nothing has shown to stand up to those elements quite like HDG. This building will be a beacon of hope and longevity for many for decades to come, the fact that they chose the HDG process to be a focal point in their building is not only fitting but extremely symbolic.
