The railings were designed to appear as a vine, integrated into the adjacent rock architecture and landscape planting, while serving as a handrail available to be gripped at needed places in ascent/descent.
All railings were hot dip-galvanized and epoxy coated.
The Owner selected the galvanizer and its process because of the appropriateness of materials and methods, and previous project experience. The rail is protected at its most vulnerable part (where the railing meets the stone at each point of embedment). All railings were hot dip-galvanized and epoxy coated. Once installed, they received a field application of a bronze finish paint. The articulation in the patterns cast into the vine iron bar and leaves are fully evident.
