Rehabilitated and renewed, the Spring Lake Bridge spans across Spring Lake, Michigan. Currently many Michigan bridges are in need of maintenance and rehabilitation. The area knows from past experience how costly it is to repair structurally compromised bridges. After great success with galvanizing previous projects, the Michigan Department of Transportation made an easy choice to hot-dip galvanized (HDG) the Spring Lake Bridge upon its rehabilitation.

All of the beams and handrail were galvanized, giving the bridge a very uniform and clean finish. The affordability of HDG allowed this bridge to be within the project budget. Using HDG for the rehabilitation of the Spring Lake Bridge will ensure it will not require further enhancement for generations.
