Spring Bluff Forest Preserve Observation Viewing Platform

Spring Bluff observation viewing platform stands over 20 feet high with a 360-drgree view of a dramatic landscape that has been undergoing restoration for more than 10 years, as well of Lake Michigan and adjoining areas at different levels. It's design is constructed of ramps for easy excess by wheel chairs, the handicapped and children.

Spring Bluff is located in primarily wetlands area of a 229 acre site Forest Preserve in Winthop Harbor, Illinois. The land being restored as part of a complex that supports multiple natural landmarks that include nine endangered plants and animal species and 114 bird species. It was designed to blend in and flow with the surrounding area.

Hot dip galvanizing was chosen to preserve the natural surrounding and be a long lasting addition to the area. In addition, HDG was chosen to keep maintenance for the structural to a minimum, as not disburse the wildlife and there surroundings.
