For its durable, long-lasting corrosion protection, hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) was selected for the entire Sho Me Ethanol plant in Carrollton, MO. With extreme hot and cold temperatures of Missouri, HDG was the optimal coating choice for the ethanol plant. The plant works to produce a clean-burning, sustainable fuel source while the sustainable zinc coating protects it from corrosion. HDG provides a strong barrier and cathodic (sacrificial) that protection that will keep the plant fully functioning and aesthetically pleasing.
Many of the older ethanol plants are suffering from the hardship of corrosion. The rust accumulated on these old plants is both time consuming and expensive to maintain. Galvanizing Sho Me Ethanol will enable the owners of to allocate their resources on creating alternative energy, rather than maintaining corrosion protection. Sho Me Ethanol is a plant that will indisputably produce the fuels of the future.
