CloseThe artist behind these pieces had previous experience with hot-dip galvanizing and the Colorgalv duplex coating system, and felt it would be the best aesthetic choice for this project.
Featuring intricate designs of feast and study scenes, the galvanizing had to be expertly executed so as not to hide the delicate details of the relief. These sculptures will identify the function of each major room, when they are set in a niche created specifically to house them. They will be illuminated by fiber optics and set directly above a huge slab of Indiana limestone. By using a duplex system, the artist was able to achieve the intended look and color, which will last for generations.
