The architect of this project wanted the outer entrance to the museum to reflect and blend with nature. The large decorative canopy frame comprised of structural steel is a stunning representation of the architects vision. To maintain and protect this vision, the PCRC chose to utilize a duplex system to protect the structure from corrosion.
The decorative canopy frame used a double dip hot-dip galvanizing procedure to ensure a uniform coat over the 2.5 tons of steel. This frame built into the buildings stone front fascia is not only visually appealing, but also highly functional with guaranteed low maintenance costs. The choice HDG will provide decades of protection to ensure the building to look relevant to the indigenous people for decades to come.
