Whether the Buccaneers win or lose, the new massive state of the art, latest LED technology video display boards are a winner.  Supported by hot dip galvanized steel, the two boards will withstand  many years of cannon blasts.  Each board is 60 feet high by 160 feet wide, displaying 9,600 square feet of high definition viewing screen.   Accompanying the end zone video-boards are four 61 feet high by 43 feet wide towers for 2,304 square feet of multi-media video display panels.  The total LED video display screens add up to 28,416 square feet, which is the third largest in professional football.

These boards display excellent image clarity and contrast, sun-cutting brightness, and an industry-leading environmental protection system that will keep the video display operating as expected in the harsh coastal elements.  The displays are capable of presenting a variety of live video, instant replay, up-to-the-minute statistics, game information, graphics, animation and sponsorship messages.

To ensure the structural support integrity of these mega video-boards, the engineering team at Daktronics Creative Services specified Hot-dip Galvanizing in its design criteria of the critical beams and angle support members.  The key reasons for specifying the steel to be Hot-Dip Galvanized was to protect the support structure against the corrosive tropical climate that is characteristic of the Tampa Bay area, and the comfort and ease of specifying a comprehensive maintenance free corrosion project system.
