CloseGalvanized steel is visible from all four sides of this structure, confirming that hot-dip galvanizing was the best way to go for durability, appearance and long-term sustainability.
All galvanizing in this project was left bare and exposed for a natural appearance. The roof support vees required three dips per piece and a unique bolted barrel assembly to connect three vees into one spider. Roof support braces, structural beams and columns, handrail/guardrails, fasteners, and lighting structures were all galvanized in this project and turned over from a local supplier within days. HDG was chosen because it was less than the cost of painting, prepping, and cleaning a field with difficult access.
