In May of 2023, Syracuse University and JMA Wireless announced a decade long partnership for naming rights of the University’s stadium. The stadium opened in 1980 and up until now, has operated only under one name. The newly renamed stadium boasts four new signs bearing the JMA logo. The freshly fabricated letters make up some of the largest stadium signage in the country.

Four individual signs of the JMA Wireless logo were fabricated for this project. All the signs benefit from hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion protection then had a “skin” added to them made of stainless plates that were painted in the JMA logo color pallet. The signs are broken down by location on the dome. The crown truss sign, the largest of the four is mounted on the west side of the building, attached to the crown truss. The North sign was mounted on the north wall of the building and required a 56’ long tube truss to support it. Made in two assemblies, the tube truss was mounted between existing concrete precast columns that support the original structure. The southeast and southwest signs are identical to each other and placed on opposite corners of the building.

The dimensions of each letter for the signs above is as follows:

• crown truss sign: Letter J 16’-1” x 25’-4”. Letter M 24’-0” x 25’-0”. Letter A with the two Halo’s attached 22’-0” x 36’-0”. Lower dome letters assembly 7’-6” x 29’-6”.
• North, SE, and SW signs: Letter J 9’-8” x 15’-2 ½”. Letter M 14’-5” x 15’-2 ½”. Letter A with the two Halo’s attached 13’-3 ½” x 21’-8”. Lower Dome letters assembly 17’-6”x 4’-6”.
