The sculpture consists of several segments and is made of hundreds of pieces. The desire of the customer was to have the sign reflect the quality of their product and company. Jackson's previous globe was painted and in poor condition. All the pieces of the sign were disassembled, tagged for identification, stripped and hot-dip galvanized.
