Skylink People Mover - Maintenance Access Stairs
DFW, TX United States | 2005
Menu • Quick Links • Search
The DFW Tram System carries millions of people from terminal to terminal every year. These 84-foot (26-meter) stairs with handrails, allows people to safely walk up two to three flights of stairs from the tram stop to the ticketing or baggage levels. Airport management wanted architectural quality designs for the mass of people passing through this area.
Hot-dip galvanizing was the only solution
Other corrosion prevention systems would have required too much maintenance that airport security doesn't like. Hot-dip galvanizing was the only solution to eliminate maintenance entirely, while maintaining architectural quality and appeal.
