CloseEven though there were only 10 tons (9 tonnes) of hot-dip galvanized canopy frames, street furniture supports and structural steel, this project is located on the grounds of Boston's City Hall. It will have major visibility and will be a focal point for community events. A unique aspect of this project was the juxtaposition of galvanized steel, painted galvanized steel and stainless steel. This blending of three aesthetically dissimilar materials to achieve an artistic and functional design points out the flexibility and adaptability of galvanizing in high profile projects.
