This 34-meter-high monument symbolizes the dialogue between nature, technology, and the environment. Made of 28 tons of HDG steel, 754 LED lights, and over 27,000 ceramic pieces, every design decision ensured seamless integration into the Innovation Park. Positioned along the boulevard’s longitudinal axis, it is easily visible to passersby. A 5% sloped ramp, meeting accessibility standards, allows visitors of all abilities to explore the structure, culminating in a viewpoint that offers an immersive experience of its textures and lights.

Key elements of the project include:

• Water Mirror: Surrounding the base of the sculpture, this reflective water feature creates a visual separation between the artwork and the pedestrian areas, accentuates the artistic piece’s functional and symbolic presence.
• Nerikomi Ceramic: Designed by renowned artist Nicola Costantino, these handcrafted ceramic pieces decorate both the base and the isle surrounding Arborea Magna. They add a contemporary yet artisanal aesthetic, while the combination of Nerikomi with HDG steel challenges the misconception that no materials can be applied to galvanized steel, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in design.
• Lighting and Technology: With more than 750 3D-printed LED lights integrated into the leaves, the installation creates a stunning visual effect both by day and at night, ensuring it remains striking under all lighting conditions.
• Renewable Energy: The monument incorporates a solar pergola that powers the water mirror's pumping system. This sustainable feature not only reduces energy consumption but also contributes to the project’s sustainability.
• Protection and Durability: The structure is built from HDG steel profiles and tubes, offering unparalleled durability and low-maintenance performance. Hot-dip galvanizing was chosen for its exceptional ability to protect steel in harsh environmental conditions, ensuring the artwork’s longevity while meeting the highest standards of quality and preservation.
