Hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) was chosen over stainless steel for the best initial cost and its long life in extreme conditions. Working with the galvanizer, the writing of the specification and high quality required was easy. This was HECO's first galvanized product and was well received at the Indianapolis Truck Show.
