Wharton Independent School District and its FFA Chapter are doing great things for its community with the newly built Agriculture Education Project Center.
"This facility is a huge deal, and we couldn't be happier for our kids. The support of the Wharton community and school administration is much appreciated. This is a game changer for sure."
This project located along the Central Texas Gulf Coast will house and exercise junior high and high school student show programs including cattle, sheep, goats, and hogs.
These pictures show the finalized agriculture center for an active agriculture department at Wharton ISD. The new construction on campus will allow many kids to keep animals in a safe and productive environment, without having to have a barn, pens, or small acreage at home to do so. With this resource, many of the kids will go on to show their projects at fairs, and major rodeo events throughout the state. These shows often provide scholarship opportunities along with life lessons learned by carrying out a project each year.
The school district was looking for a high quality product, safe for animals, that would stand to the corrosive environment that keeping livestock usually entails. While there are several manufacturers of similar products, the partnership of Ranger Gate and its galvanizing company made this decision simple. Ranger Gates domestic steel product, will provide a safe, and long lasting structure for Wharton ISD for many years to come.
