Provident Bank Park has been strategically constructed overlooking the Ramapo Mountains, just minutes from the Palisades Parkway. This beautiful park built from steel and stone is home to the minor league baseball team, the Rockland Boulders. One of the concerns of the owner of the stadium was quality and longevity.
One of the concerns of the owner of the stadium was quality and longevity.
The steel would not only be seen by thousands of fans, but countless feet would run up and down the stadiums bleachers. Would galvanizing offer a smooth quality finish? Certainly! As stated above, the design of the components encouraged not only safe dipping, but was also conducive to a smooth, even texture. This quality product ensured the concerned parties that they could benefit from aesthetics as well as protection from rusting for many years to come.
The permitting process took longer than anticipated, but the first home game of the seaon in the early summer could not be missed. As a result, this job was fast-tracked, and needed to be erected and completed within a very short time. The galvanizer had to convince the fabricator the use of galvanizing would not add significant time to their project. The galvanizer was sought out for its ability to dip the extra long stuctural pieces, and a comfort level was achieved early on when the galvanizer helped the detailer with design issues that pertained to a quality galvanizing job.
